"An imposing range and jolly sense of humor..."
Mezzo-soprano and Pacific Northwest native, Anne Maguire, is distinguishing herself on stages across the country. Her voice easily recognizable for its “dark” and “opulent” timbre, she has been awarded several competition prizes from Opera Birmingham, Jensen Foundation, the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and others. Ms. Maguire was a 2018 Merola Artist where she sang the role of Baba the Turk in The Rake’s Progress. In May of 2018 she sang Die Hexe in Hänsel und Gretel as a guest artist at Yale University. In 2016 as a Glimmerglass Festival Young Artist she covered the role of Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible. Ms. Maguire will return to Yale University again in 2019 for Eugene Onegin.
